Learn about Colonial Soap Making July 13

Join us at the Lititz Historical Foundation for Lititz’s Second Friday event July 13th!

Our museum and gift shop will be open from 5-9pm. Then, from 7 to 8 pm, join us as we host guest Lori Jo Whitehaus, who will present a fascinating presentation on colonial soap making as well as the history of soap making and how “soap” got it’s name.

Lori will also bring along some of the equipment she uses and also some of the natural ingredients. A 2-page handout for participants will also be available for guests to take along at the end of the program. She will then go over some the variations that she uses to create interesting soaps that are all natural with no dyes or micas.

Guests will also have the opportunity to “make and take” their own all natural lip balm. Don’t miss this fascinating program on Friday, July 13th at the Lititz Historical Foundation.
